sweet decline - SONGS WRITTEN ON THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED

August 8th, 2019, leave England with a suitcase, miniature guitar and broken heart.
Over 20 days, travel 2400 miles on the California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco then road trip 1700 miles around California writing songs and Vlogging daily. Take the road less travelled and choose love over fear. Experience random acts of kindness from strangers, wild synchronicities and a burst of creativity.
Return two months later to continue the odyssey. Record some of the road songs in LA with James ‘Hutch’ Hutchinson then road trip a further 1300 miles through Joshua Tree, Death Valley, up the scenic 395 to Independence, cross-country to Monterey, down the Pacific Highway to Big Sur and Los Angeles. Miraculously, more songs appear along with more serendipitous encounters.
Return to England vowing to pay it all forward with an album and book about the experience: a testimony to the magical power of music and how it heals by connecting people.
